Day 20, March 10, 2010
Even though I only posted two days ago, I need to make sure I'm posting twice a week under the guidelines Mr. Johnston has set for me. I have completed getting the presentations of the drugs on the list that were chiral (right and left hand analogy, two posts ago). Most of the drugs were Racemic Mixtures, or had equal amounts of each isomer. Only three were not Racemic of the whole three lists. I am now back onto gathering data for the statistical ranges that state if the drug has a risk or not.
Getting through downtime is getting rough. Morale is low. Not sure how long we can hold off the next wave of zombies. Food is low.

What is a Senior Research Project?
At BASIS Tucson, seniors have the chance to propose an independent research project that takes place off campus during the last trimester of the year. The seniors whose proposals are accepted write their own syllabi and then head off into the world, to a site where they conduct their research while interning with a professional in the field. Those of us stuck on campus follow their adventures on this blog. Now that the projects are over, we are all excited to attend their presentations. The schedule is as follows:
